Our coastal village of Llangennith is beautifully positioned at the north-western tip of the Gower peninsula, the UK’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB 1956). It’s a great location to make your base as you take in all the area has to offer. And while you’re here, you’re welcome to share the range of activities & clubs, events, and information hub our Hall offers.

Llangennith village

Named after the Saint who founded our ancient, village church of Cenydd in the 6th century, Llangennith has a growing population of around 400 proud and welcoming residents.

The village spreads out from the village green where you’ll find Gower’s largest church, the world-famous King’s Head Inn, and our stunning Village Hall.

Nestled between Rhossili Down, Llanmadoc Down and Hardings Down and within touching and hearing distance of the Atlantic Ocean, this surfing and walking mecca is a spectacular location for lovers of authentic village life and the great outdoors.

Gower peninsula

The whole of the glorious Gower peninsula is easily accessible from Llangennith. The peninsula, just 19 miles long and 80 compact square miles, packs in everything you might need for a beautiful holiday by the sea: sandy beaches, rugged coastline, marshes, moorland & megaliths, and ancient castles and churches.

It’s a surfers’ paradise, a retreat for writers, artists and photographers, and for walkers, there’s the 39-mile Gower Coastal Path which forms part of the unique Wales Coast Path, covering the whole of Wales’ 870 miles coastline.

The village of Llangennith, situated on the north of the Gower Peninsula, was voted as one of The 30 best places to live in the UK.
— The Telegraph

You can stay local in Llangennith and find great places to eat and sleep, outdoor activities to satisfy all energy levels, and a whole host of useful information and help at hand if needed without ever leaving the village. Or go relatively larger, and discover more of what the Gower peninsula has to offer.

Our village has two great places to eat, the King’s Head Inn on the village green with its family-friendly atmosphere, and Eddy’s café at Hillend, with its distinctive surfing vibe.

Go just a little further and you will find everything from informal bistros, pubs and coffee shops to a Michelin starred restaurant right on the beach.

What they all have in common is quality food, great views of coast and countryside, and a great Gower welcome.
