Llangennith Parish Hall – main hall and stage

The Hall

The main Hall is an expansive light-filled and warm space. It has an even tiled floor suitable for many activities – social and sports – and is fully marked up for badminton. The Hall accommodates a good-size stage with lighting and communication from a control room. This room is situated to the side of the gallery at the back of the Hall where music and mood lighting can be monitored. It is your space to use throughout the year.

The Meeting Rooms

There are 2 meeting rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, which are perfect spaces for small groups to come together or clubs where numbers are few and a cost-effective and more intimate space is needed. The meeting rooms lend themselves to a range of uses and the ground floor room allows easy access for the disabled. The upstairs room is slightly larger and has a lot of natural light which lends itself to work and craft projects.

Llangennith Parish Hall – Gym equipment

Gower Gym

Its doors are open to local members and visitors from 6.00am to 9.00pm, 365 days a year! As you’d expect from a modern gym, there are showers at hand. For further information about the gym and the types of membership available, please visit the Gower Gym page under the Activities/Clubs section.

Llangennith Parish Hall – kitchen

The Kitchen

Our kitchen and café area leads off the main Hall. It’s a bright, spacious and well-equipped facility ideal for refreshments and snacks for small groups rather than large catering events. It has a surfing vibe and a lively buzz, and is the hub of social chat when clubs gather, when there’s a market/fayre and especially on Film Club Night for a drink before the main show!

Llangennith Parish Hall – exterior solar panels on roof

Green Technologies

Powering and heating all our facilities are our green energy systems which we committed to in 2011. Since then, 16 solar panels have been installed on our south-facing roof and provide us with electricity. The solar energy generated is a reliable source of income for our Hall. Subsequently, with support of funds from ‘The Big Lottery People and Places’, the redevelopment of our playground and field enabled hundreds of metres of pipework to be laid and led to the installation of a ground source heat pump which provides a reliable hot water system. The main Hall’s concrete floor was also relaid, enabling us to install underfloor heating.

Defibrillator
A difibrillator is located at the front of the Hall. It has open access and does not require a code.

Wifi
Free Wifi is available throughout the building.

Parking
There is limited parking at the Hall, except for 3 disabled bays.
