Originally known as The One Hundred Club, Llangennith Hall has successfully run a village lottery since 1984. The original purpose was twofold: one as a means to raise funds and. two, to help generate a sense of community amongst villagers. These are still the aims of the lottery.
For a number of years there have been over the 'one hundred' contributors, so the name was changed to The Hall Draw and two additional £10.00 prizes have been added to the existing £50.00, £20.00 and £10.00.
In 2018 there are 167 people signed up for the Hall Draw. The Draw runs from August 1st through July 31st each year. Three draws are held at various times throughout the year, at approximately equal intervals but, where possible, co-ordinated with a village event such as the Easter Egg Hunt.
The cost to each member is an annual £5.00 which is collected by Hall volunteers during June and July each year.
Currently (2018/19) the Draw is organised by Dilys McLean, email: firstname.lastname@example.org Landline: 01792-386314. Do contact her if you wish to contribute.
The results of the latest Draw are published in Stop Press on the Home page.
